UAE-made Rashid Rover all set to land on Moon

First lunar spacecraft built by an Arab country – Rashid Rover, is named after Late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Makhtoom, former Ruler of Dubai.

As per the latest news, the lunar lander HAKUTO R-Mission 1, carrying UAE-made Rashid Rover, entered the lunar orbit last month and is currently orbiting the moon, safely.  Moreover, it sent back some photographs of the destination from its camera.

Furthermore, the scheduled earliest landing on Moon for HAKUTO –R Mission 1, is expected on 25th April 2023, about 8:40pm UAE time as an ideal gift this Eid-ul-Fitr.

Takeshi Hakamada, founder and CEO of ispace said, “The stage is set. I am looking forward to witnessing the historic day, marking the beginning of a new era of commercial lunar missions”.
