Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah in an auspicious ceremony under the leadership of Chaudhry Khalid Hussain President of the Centre organizes a farewell to the outgoing Consul General of Pakistan Dubai, H. E. Hassan Afzal Khan.
The evening was attended by prominent Pakistani Community members living in Dubai, Sharjah and Northern Emirates. It was served with a lovely dinner at the end.
At the occasion, some audience expressed their views about the Excellency Mr. Hassan Afzal Khan, for the Excellency’s valiant efforts, charming personality and great attitude of Leadership & Friendship towards his entire countrymen. The people who commented on this occasion were Munir Han the Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party, Gulf and President Overseas Pakistanis United Forum, Mr. Iqbal Dawood President of Pakistan Business Council Dubai, Mr. Suhail Khawar, Mr. Ansar Akram Mr. Shafiqur Rehman, Mr. Asim Shahzad. Almost all the speakers pay tribute to the outgoing H. E. the Consul General for his Leadership qualities, and the arrangements he has made in this short tenure which spans over about two years and some speakers question his premature calling back to Islamabad.
Mr. Chaudhry Khalid Hussain, President of Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah, also pays tribute to H. E. Mr. Hassan Afzal Khan, and mentioned his qualities and the arrangements H. E. Mr. Hassan Afzal Khan has made as there is no one waiting in the hot sun outside the Consulate for any kind of work he or she is visiting the Consulate rather, they are waiting in the air-conditioned halls specially designed for Pakistani community members coming to the Consulate he also mentions about the support Pakistani Social Centre Sharjah (PSCS) is getting from the Consulate General for assisting Pakistanis visiting the PSCS from Sharjah and Northern Emirates. At the end The Chief Guest of the evening H. E. Mr. Hassan Afzal Kahn the outgoing CG also spoke to the occasion and he said that what he did was his part of the Job and nothing extraordinary, but thanked the community members and all present that due to their support motivates him to deliver more, but one has to keep in mind that the Consulate or any office is under the guidelines and control and certain approvals from the Head Office which is in Islamabad is mandatory to move and do the needful.
In the end, a plaque was presented to H. E. Mr. Hassan Afzal Khan by Mr. Chaudhry Khalid Hussain and Mr. Raja Sarfaraz a veteran social servant and active Businessman in the social work for Pakistanis.
