Dubai’s ever-evolving skyline is set to welcome the Aeternitas Tower, revealed during an official launch event last week. This residential marvel is poised to reach a staggering height of 450 meters (1,476 feet), securing its position as the world’s tallest residential clock tower. The grandiosity of Aeternitas Tower outshines iconic landmarks such as Big Ben in London, surpassing it by more than four times. While standing just 22 meters (72 feet) shy of the tallest residential building globally, New York City’s Central Park Tower, the tower is expected to claim the title of the second-tallest clock tower worldwide, following the Makkah Clock Royal Tower in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
Collaborative Venture: London Gate and Franck Muller
London Gate, a prominent real estate developer in Dubai, has joined forces with Franck Muller, a luxury watch manufacturer based in Switzerland, to bring Aeternitas Tower to life. The tower’s sheer scale prompted the developer to envision a remarkable exterior for the structure, which was strategically acquired in Dubai Marina, featuring the foundations of an incomplete 106-story project.
Spectacular Features: A Tower That Defies Convention
Tom Hill, London Gate’s coordinator for media relations, emphasized the monumental impact of Aeternitas Tower, anticipating that the clock would be visible from a remarkable six-kilometer distance due to its towering height. The clock itself is set to be a colossal spectacle, measuring an impressive 30 meters (98 feet) in width and 40 meters (131 feet) in height. Hill expressed the developer’s aspiration to create something unprecedented in Dubai, showcasing innovation and architectural brilliance in the city’s ever-dynamic landscape.
