Self-Check-In Systems and Sara the Robotic Check-In
Emirates revealed that a significant portion, approximately 50 percent, of its passengers prefer utilizing the airline’s self-check-in systems or opt for Sara, which is recognized as the world’s first robotic check-in system. Al Redha emphasized that the simplicity and reliability of these systems contribute to their popularity, drawing parallels with the confidence users have in online shopping or booking airline tickets.
Emirates Innovation Centre Ebdaa

Aviation Robotics Lab and AI-Powered Customer Support Robot
Ebdaa houses an aviation robotics lab developed in collaboration with Dubai Future Labs and global leaders in robotics. Notably, it features Sara, an AI-powered customer support robot developed in-house. Sara represents a breakthrough in customer-robot interactions and supports sign language, showcasing inclusivity in technological advancements.
Biometric Path and Collaborative Efforts
Emirates has invested in developing a biometric path in collaboration with the Department of Naturalisation and Residency Dubai (DNRD). l Redha highlighted the path’s unparalleled global accuracy, allowing seamless data recognition without requiring individuals to stare at a specific angle. The collaborative effort between Emirates, various teams, and suppliers has transformed the vision of an efficient passenger journey through the airport into reality.
Immersive Technology for Employee Onboarding
Emirates is utilizing immersive technology to introduce future employees to Dubai.
