Dubai Chambers has concluded the inaugural Dubai Business Forum, a transformative global event under the theme ‘Shifting Economic Power: Dubai and the Future of Global Trade.’ Held from November 1-2, the forum attracted over 2,000 global leaders, economists, investors, and experts from 49 countries. Hosted under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the event focused on discussions and dealmaking to explore Dubai’s role in shaping the global economic landscape.

Global Participation: 

The forum brought together diverse international stakeholders, facilitating discussions among changemakers, business leaders, and industry experts. More than 2,000 participants, from 49 countries engaged in insightful plenary sessions, TED-style talks, and networking opportunities there.

Strategic Discussions: 

A total of 24 high-level plenary sessions and TED-style talks featuring 32 expert speakers delved into topics such as globalization, foreign direct investment (FDI), digital transformation, and emerging markets. Discussions explored Dubai’s strategic position, the role of SMEs, and the impact of advanced technologies on global economic development.

Deals and Partnerships:

 Over 20 contracts were signed as part of ‘The Deals Hub,’ with more than 550 business meetings scheduled through the Dubai Business Forum app. Notable deals included establishing a China Innovation Centre, an MoU for an ‘Innovation Corridor’ with the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, and an agreement with PT Bank Syariah Indonesia.

Future Theatre:

The Future Theatre hosted TED-style talk keynote sessions focusing on eight thematic pillars, exploring the future of industries, trade hubs, investments, economies, IoT, robotics, AI, and cities. The sessions provided insights into future trends poised to catalyze global growth.
