Abu Dhabi Airport’s newest terminal, Terminal A, is set to open on November 1. It will initially operate alongside Terminals 1, 2, and 3 from November 1 to 14. An Etihad ceremonial flight is scheduled for October 31 to mark the opening. All airlines will operate from the new Terminal A starting from November 15 during the transition period.
Services and Facilities
The airport operator has confirmed that all primary services and facilities are prepared to receive passengers in the new terminal. An awareness campaign has been launched to inform travelers about which terminal they should use, and it is advisable for passengers flying from Abu Dhabi between November 1 and 14 to check the airport’s website for their terminal information.
Location for Navigation
The exact location of Terminal A has been added to popular navigation applications, such as Google Maps and Waze. The airport has provided clear highway signage for drivers, making it easily accessible from Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Frank McCrorie, the COO of Abu Dhabi Airports, emphasized the increased capacity brought by the new terminal and advised passengers to confirm their terminal information with their airlines or the Abu Dhabi International Airport website when flying from November 1 to 14. Inter-terminal shuttle buses have also been introduced to facilitate passenger movement between terminals.
