Applications for Emirates’ Direct Entry Captains program, specially tailored for its Airbus A380 fleet, are now being accepted.
Qualification Standards
To be qualified, Captains have to fulfill the following requirements:
Minimum Flight Hours: Candidates must have flown at least 3,000 recent hours on one Airbus model: the A330, A340, A350, or A380.
Total Flying Experience: Applicants must have accrued 7,000 hours of real flying time on multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft.
Team Structure
Those who are accepted will become part of Emirates’ seasoned flight crew, which consists of 4,200 personnel, of which 1,515 are committed A380 pilots.
