According to a Jordanian official’s statement on Thursday, the country will conclude its new long-term energy strategy in 2024. This new strategy will include new projects to improve renewable electricity production and create green hydrogen power plants.
According to Amani Azzam, Secretary General of the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, the overarching goal of the plan, which has been in the works for some time but is just now getting off the ground, is to expand the energy industry in the Arab country and identify future requirements.
“At this time, we are researching in preparation for the growth of intelligent power networks…In an interview with the Jordanian Arabic daily Al-Ghad, she stated, “We expect to finish a new energy strategy by the end of 2024.”
According to Azzam, the new strategy emphasizes new initiatives such as the growth of power storage facilities, the increased use of renewable energy sources in power generation, and the incorporation of hydrogen into electricity generation.
In addition, the strategy will focus on increasing the efficiency of electricity usage in various industries. Our goal is to create a dependable and environmentally friendly energy sector.
