Applications for the Sharjah Excellence Award 2023 are now being accepted, and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) is inviting companies to take advantage of the chance to have their best practices honoured.
According to SCCI, registration for the new edition is now open and will be available through the end of November on the award’s website, SHJSEEN (www.shjseen.ae). The attendees from the business community in the UAE and the GCC have a fantastic opportunity to profit from the event’s many benefits, outreach initiatives, and courses that will be held by SCCI shortly.
According to Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, SCCI Chairman and Chairman of the Sharjah Excellence Award Board of Trustees, “Being one of the most notable in-kind awards across the region, Sharjah Excellence Award is a great opportunity that should be seized by private-sector businesses to enhance their competitiveness and benefit from the quality, leadership, and innovation values.”
He continued by saying that the occasion demonstrated SCCI’s eagerness and dedication to attaining its strategic objectives, which include supporting and promoting good practices to spur the business sector’s sustained economic progress.
Al Owais invited Sharjah and GCC companies to take advantage of the occasion and participate in this unique event. To keep up with global best practices in business excellence and to add many competitive advantages for participating companies, the Board of Trustees made significant changes to the award’s categories this year by combining the Sharjah Green Award and the Sharjah Award for Social Responsibility under the name “Sharjah Award for Social Responsibility”.
The Sharjah Excellence Award’s general coordinator, Nada Al Hajri, stated that the Board of Trustees was eager to simplify the registration process for all award categories. A registration form must be completed, indicating the type of participation, and submitted with a copy of the commercial licence in good standing and the SCCI (private sector) membership certificate.
The Award Office will make changes to the application. Email notification of the response and the Office’s acceptance or denial will be provided as appropriate.
If the registration request is accepted, the participation file for the chosen category will be supplied, and it must be completed and submitted by the deadline.
The Sharjah Award for Excellence, which is only available to private-sector organisations in the Emirate of Sharjah, the Sharjah Gulf Excellence Award, which will be based on the Board of Trustees nomination system; and the Sharjah Award for Social Responsibility, which will be available to both private and public sector organisations from the Emirate of Sharjah only, are the only categories in which registration is open to all GCC-based private institutions, according to Al Hajri.
The Sharjah Gulf Localization Award, Sharjah Gulf Excellence Award, Sharjah Excellence Award, Sharjah Small & Medium Enterprises Award, Sharjah Entrepreneurs Award, Sharjah Social Responsibility Award, Sharjah Best Security Standards Award, and Sharjah Entrepreneurs with Disability Award are among the eight award categories in the programme.
