Prepare for the next big step in space tourism, as Virgin Galactic has officially revealed the flight window for its second commercial spaceflight. This will be the company’s first voyage to the International Space Station. The launch of Galactic 02 is slated to take place as soon as the 10th of August!
Virgin Galactic has not yet disclosed the identities of the fortunate individuals participating in this intergalactic journey. On the other hand, we know that in addition to the regular crew, there will be three passengers.
Galactic 01, the first commercial flight, took place at the end of June, but it was more of a research-focused mission than anything else. Workers from the Italian government conducted microgravity investigations during this journey. On the other hand, the focus has shifted to ordinary people this time around. Even though it is not entirely obvious what the civilian crew of Galactic 02 will be doing, one thing is sure: they will be tourists on the trip of a lifetime.
