Before joining ADCCI, Al Qubaisi was a prominent member of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s (Adnoc) leadership team, holding executive leadership positions in finance and investment. He also has worldwide experience with British Petroleum and Ernst and Young.
The chairman of ADCCI, Abdulla Mohamed Al Mazrui, stated that Al Qubaisi would play a major role in strengthening the business community and contributing to the growth of Abu Dhabi’s economy by developing partnerships and promoting engagement with the business community.
“His appointment demonstrates the chamber’s desire to attract individuals with the highest levels of expertise, capable of realizing the visions of our wise leadership in promoting the emirate of Abu Dhabi as the go-to destination for businesses and a highly regarded business hub on the global competitiveness map.” This strategic choice aligns with the Abu Dhabi Chamber’s new three-year strategy 2023-2025, which aims to “solidify the chamber’s position as the private sector’s voice while also enhancing its role as a policy advocate, networker, and service provider.”
Al Qubaisi’s key emphasis will be to develop a robust and integrated business community to realize the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 by leveraging his extensive experience in driving corporate transformation.
“On this occasion, we would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our former director-general, Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, for his exceptional contribution over the years, which was critical in propelling our success.” The Chamber launched successful programs and pioneering efforts focussed on excellence under his leadership,” Al Mazrui emphasized.
“I am honored to be appointed as the CEO of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, this economic monument that enjoys a prestigious place within the business community locally and internationally,” said Al Qubaisi, “and look forward to building upon the chamber’s strong foundations to support and empower the business community.
Al Qubaisi contributes more than two decades of experience in business, investment, and strategy, as well as a wide network of stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
“I am confident that by working hand in hand with the chamber’s highly qualified and skilled team, we can unlock the full potential of businesses and drive sustainable economic development and growth in the emirate of Abu Dhabi,” said Al Qubaisi, a Harvard Business School certified corporate director.
