Emirates NBD, the top bank in Dubai, has launched a cutting-edge and practical banking service named “Bank on Wheels.” A fully equipped car stationed at numerous consumer touchpoints across Dubai is part of this service. The bank’s primary objective in using this service is to gather helpful information to develop its physical branch expansion strategy.
In addition to the bank’s current fleet of mobile ATMs introduced in 2004, the mobile branch is a new addition. It seeks to offer comprehensive banking services in locations that have recently developed or where consumers have limited access to Emirates NBD branches or ATMs.
The Cash Deposit Machine (CDM) and a specialized service agent are aboard the Bank on Wheels. Additionally, preparations are being made to add an NCR APTRA Interactive Teller Machine, improving consumers’ access to automated branches.
Suvo Sarkar, General Manager of Retail Banking at Emirates NBD, emphasized the bank’s dedication to providing easy and quick access to banking services throughout the United Arab Emirates. The Bank on Wheels program helps determine if physical branches are necessary for busy areas with a sizable client base. Additionally, it will be strategically placed near current branches to manage heavy client foot traffic.
