On Thursday, the emirate’s authorities stated that the Sweihan Road in Abu Dhabi, which runs from Al Falah Bridge to Abu Dhabi International Airport, has a revised speed restriction.
Following a joint announcement by the Abu Dhabi Police General Command and the Integrated Transport Centre, the new speed limit will be 120 kph beginning on Sunday, June 4.
To inform drivers of the change, signboards have been erected.
According to studies, lowering speed restrictions can increase traffic safety, according to the Abu Dhabi Police. Drivers are reminded to drive safely and obey all traffic laws and regulations.
Depending on how quickly a driver exceeds the posted speed limit, speeding is a significant traffic infraction that carries fines between Dh300 and Dh3,00
