Google has officially confirmed the existence of its foldable Pixel smartphone following a lengthy period of rumors and leaks. Less than a week after the official conference on Thursday, the company astonished everyone by tweeting a brief teaser video.
The eight-second video provides a view of the Pixel Fold and its design. The device resembles two Pixel 7s stacked on one another and features a familiar metallic camera bar on the rear.
When unfolded, it transforms from a phone-shaped external display to a tablet-shaped interior show, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.
While it may be tempting to joke about Google ruining the surprise, the truth is that leaks and rumors had already disclosed a significant amount of information about the device. In high-tech, secrecy is difficult to maintain, and information spreads rapidly.
