King Charles III and Queen Consort are getting ready for their historic carriage trip to Westminster Abbey, which will be the first coronation to take place in the United Kingdom in seven decades.
Large crowds waving Union jacks have gathered along the path of the parade, and many of them have set up tents for the night.
The event will involve the participation of thousands of service members, thus extensive precautions have been taken to ensure their safety in London.
Attendees numbering 2,300 will have front-row seats for the Coronation service.
The ceremony is scheduled to begin about 11:00 (British Standard Time) and will continue for close to two hours. More than one hundred heads of state are expected to attend.
The King and Camilla will then make their way back to Buckingham Palace after leaving Westminster Abbey.
