Starting May 1, distressed individuals in crisis-hit Pakistan may finally get some relief as the prices of petroleum products are predicted to decrease. The skyrocketing prices have been an argumentative political issue in the South Asian nation.
According to media reports, the price of fuel may be reduced by Rs4.5 per liter, while diesel prices could be dropped by Rs6 per liter. The decrease in fuel prices may also help those involved in the agriculture industry as the crop-harvesting season begins, and prices for daily essentials continue to rise, particularly affecting those in the salaried class.
