The Bugatti Veyron has a top speed of 407 kmph
Dubai: With a Bugatti Veyron, the Dubai Police now own the world’s fastest police vehicle, breaking the Guinness World Record.
During the 11 Best Police Practices Forum on Monday, a Guinness World Records delegation met Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri, the head of the Dubai Police, and presented him with the Guinness certificate.
The Lamborghini police patrol from the US is defeated by the supercar driven by the Dubai Police, which has a top speed of 360 kmph.
The 16-cylinder Bugatti Veyron has a top speed of 407 kph and 1,200 horsepower, which enables it to reach 100 kph in 2.5 seconds.
The vehicle is the crowning glory of the force’s fleet of high-end vehicles, which Dubai Police uses to enhance their public image and foster more interaction with the general population.
The vehicles improve the force’s visibility at well-known tourist destinations like the Burj Khalifa, JBR, and Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Boulevard.
The police department also has a Maclaren MP4-12C, a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, an Aston Martin One-77, a Bentley Continental GT, a Ferrari FF, an Audi R8, a Nissan GTR, and a Mercedes SL 63.
