The UAE government on Sunday announced the relaxation of all limitations it had placed in place to keep the nation and its citizens safe during the epidemic, roughly two and a half years after the Covid-19 outbreak first emerged.
Mask-wearing regulations have been further relaxed. Masks are not required in any open or closed institutions, including mosques and houses of worship, according to health officials. In health care facilities and centers for individuals with determination, masks must be worn. At mosques and other places of worship, using a personal mat for prayer will be optional.
The second stage of the relaxation of limitations was disclosed in a virtual briefing by a government official. The official said that after carefully examining the epidemiological situation in the nation and keeping track of occupancy rates in hospitals and critical care for Covid-19 infected cases, which have steadily dropped below 300 presently, the second round of relaxations have been allowed.
“We declare that all limitations and safety precautions relating to COVID-19 have been lifted. Except for health facilities and centers for people of determination, where they will be required, mask wearing will be optional in all open and enclosed facilities, including places of worship and mosques, the official noted. He also noted that using personal mats for prayer will be optional at mosques and praying facilities.
On November 7, at six in the morning, the new relaxations will go into effect.
The Al Hosn application will now only accept a vaccination certificate and, upon request, PCR test results from both inside and outside the nation. Therefore, it won’t be necessary to have a Green Pass on the Al Hosn app to access public spaces and sites.
The five-day isolation requirement for positive patients will continue to be in effect, according to the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), and Covid-19 PCR testing and medical services will continue to be available.
Depending on the nature or significance of the activity and its efficacy, organizing authorities for sporting events and activities at the national and local levels may ask for pre-examinations or immunization certificates.
The official said that the UAE “assumed a high position and became an extraordinary worldwide model, as it was one of the first countries to successfully contain problems with flexibility, transparency, and professionalism” as a result of its strict steps to combat the pandemic.
The official declared a set of steps for the health industry and stated that “The National Active Monitoring Programme for Influenza and Acute Respiratory Diseases” will contain Covid-19. In order to improve and increase the reaction capacities of health authorities for any upcoming emergency occurrences, scientific research and genetic studies on bacterial and viral diseases will also be carried out, along with vigilant monitoring and follow-up.
The UAE government has been working tirelessly over the past few months to stop the Covid-19 outbreak, which has raised knowledge of how to combat epidemics and diseases. The notion that society’s health is a top priority of the wise leadership led the health sector to step up its efforts to address the health issue in coordination and cooperation with concerned authorities.

The wearing of masks was no longer required in most public areas on September 28 as part of the first phase of the Covid-19 regulations’ relaxation, with the exception of hospitals and medical facilities, houses of worship, public transportation, and food service providers.
